​Fine grinding is a process that is often not so present. This is due to the fact that the tools for it are also not so present. The production of vitrified bonded wheels with grit sizes in the range of a few micrometres is extremely challenging and is therefore no longer carried out by many manufacturers.​

It is a lengthy process that requires a great deal of experience, sensitivity, patience and accuracy, from perfect mixing of the components to precise pressing, correct firing and finishing.
